The Year of 2007 In Review

This is a little late by now, but ah well...

It would be very easy in this holiday season to make a list of things that I am terribly ungrateful for, but instead I will take an optimistic view of this past year - 2007.
It was a great joy to have our marine home over the holidays last year. We watched as our baby Kyle began his transformation into a young man. And what an incredible young man he is! I am proud to claim him as my own!
January 26 brought us a brand new baby boy: Isaac Thomas. Healthy. Perfect. A miracle. Our family grew, as well as our love.
In February, our wayward boys returned home to bring the family together again. Family photos were taken. Wings were eaten. Fun was had.
In March we moved to McDade and made plans to move cross country. We enjoyed the company of our extended family, including the moo-cows. Mornings were spent biking or walking the old dirt roads. Evenings were spent breathing in the fresh air of the outdoors.
In May, as we awaited the homecoming of our Marine and another Ramirez family reunion, we received news that crushed. We had lost a son. But clinging to the knowledge of his everlasting life in heaven with God, our family was brought closer. Friends and family supported us as we never would have expected. We are blessed to have them.
In June we began our cross country trek to Washington DC. The family enjoyed every minute it could together; reveling in the last days before sending our Kyle to Japan.
At the end of the month we found our new home and returned to Texas to say our final farewells. We settled our belongings into our home. We explored our new surroundings. We returned to Texas to celebrate Samuel Jose's second birthday. We enjoyed food, family, and rain at the Watermelon Festival.
We toured our new state: Mount Vernon, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Gettysburg, museums, numerous parks and libraries; the list could go on and on.
We received the incredible news of a new arrival. An early birthday gift to Mommy. A baby boy. Another miracle.
We celebrated Wyatt's second birthday with baseball, trains, cake and merriment. It is amazing to see the growth, intellect, and schemes of a growing tow year old.
A month later we celebrated the seventh anniversary of Adeline's birth. Seven! Where does the time go? Everyday she shows more maturity, intelligence, helpfulness, and beauty. She is a wonderful help to me.
We enjoyed a homemade traditional thanksgiving dinner in the company of Lugo. (It was a sort of replacement for our own Marine.) Everything was great - food, fellowship and football.
Advent and Christmas brought much activity. We celebrated with more festivity than ever. Thee kids enjoyed much anticipation and celebration.
Overall we had a very busy and life-changing year. Many blessings were revealed. I look forward to the new year and the blessings and changes it will bring.
