We've been planning for Wyatt's birthday for a while. I've questioned Wyatt here and there about what he wants because he's finally at an age where he understands the whole ordeal. Here's a couple of snippets of conversations we've had:
Me: Wyatt, What would you like to eat for your birthday?
Wyatt: (With eyebrows raised) I like cake.
[Gee, Mom, are you crazy? Are you considering NOT making me cake for my birthday? I mean what would I eat on my birthday???]
Me: Wyatt, what would you like to do for your birthday?
Wyatt: Well, you COULD sing to me.
[Once again, Mom, you're really not getting this birthday thing. It's quite easy really: cake with candles, sing to me, I blow out candles, we eat cake, I open presents, which are to be an Ironman costume and a remote control monster truck. Got it? Simple.]
